If I have planned a "switch" vacation, because I couldn't decide which resort... can I link my trip protection to both reservations? OR do I have to purchase it twice?

    Hi there, Jennifer,

I’m so glad you brought your Walt Disney World Resort planning question to us here at planDisney! You are in good company here, because we love all the Walt Disney World Resorts Collection hotels and have a hard time choosing just one, too. With so many amazing amenities and benefits, each resort hotel is a star in its own right. Like Tigger, I enjoy booking split stays, too, so that I can bounce to more than one hotel during my vacation.

The Travel Protection Plan is a great option to consider. Did you know that it helps protect you and your family from unexpected covered losses from the moment that you step out of your front door until the moment you safely arrive back home? If you need to cancel or interrupt your vacation for any of the covered reasons described in the plan, you will be covered. Be sure to read the plan carefully so you know what the coverage includes.

Jennifer, I checked with a Cast Member in Disney Resort Hotel Reservations and found out that, in the case of a split stay, you will only need to purchase the Travel Protection Plan for the first reservation as it will carry over to the second reservation.

One tip I have for you is to take advantage of complimentary luggage transfers between your hotels. On the day you are checking out of your first hotel, simply take your bags to Bell Services (usually before 11:00 a.m., but inquire with Bell Services to confirm) and they will transfer your bags to your next resort hotel! It may take several hours for the transfer, so keep that in mind as you plan. Also, perishable items are not transferrable, so finish off all those perishable items before dropping off your luggage.

Jennifer, if you have any other questions or would like more tips on how to make the most of your visit to Walt Disney World Resort, including what not to miss in any of the resort hotels, please write back and let me know. I would love to help you create your most magical vacation yet!

    Ta-ta for now!
