    I have planned a spur of the moment trip to Walt Disney World an want to do a Character meal, but I am unable to get a reseveration for one because our travel time is so close. Is there a possibility of the resturant taking a walk up reseveration?

    Hey Darrell!  You know the best advice I can give you is to give it your best shot.  I have been successful once by walking up to the restaurant stand, and I have been denied as well.  But absolutely give it a try.  My first suggestion is call reservations when you arrive, just to see if anything has opened up.  If that does not prove to be successful, then yes try going to the actual restaurants.  I can tell you, the CM's will do anything they can to help you out but if it's a busy time, the simply may not have any tables.
