I have just planned a first trip to Disney for my two boys, ages 4 and 8. Will be staying at the Corando Resort in Disney for 8 days. Can I have some advise are places to eat and attractions for my boys ages.

    Hi Christina,

I bet your boys are so excited! There are so many choices so I turned to my boys for a list of their favorites.

Some of their favorite places to eat include:
    • Chef Mickey's and Crystal Palace for character dining. The boys love the large selection of choices featured on the buffet and the chance to hang out with many of their Disney pals.
    • Sci-Fi Theater at Hollywood Studios. My boys love sitting inside a cool convertible car.
    • Coral Reef at Epcot. My boys give the gigantic fish tank (that runs the length of the restaurant) two big thumbs up.
    • Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe, a counter service at Magic Kingdom. The cool thing here is the entertainment. Cosmic Ray (think Muppets) likes to rock the house with his keyboard playing and jokes.

The attractions were a little harder but they came to a mutual agreement on these:

    • Buzz Lightyear and Toy Story Midway Mania. They love the game aspect to these attractions and love to try and beat their previous scores.
    • Test Track and Soarin at Epcot. Soarin is a hang glider simulator that takes you over California and Test Track is a look at a car testing facility with a fast spin on the track .
    • Dinosaur and Expedition Everest at Animal Kingdom. My kids LOVE these two!
    • They both pointed out that Playhouse Disney at Hollywood Studios should be a definite stop for your younger son and they still get a laugh out of the 3D antics of the Muppets.
    • They both insist that no matter what age you are, it is not a Disney vacation without a turn or two on Pirates of the Caribbean, Peter Pan, and Splash Mountain.

Every child is of course different, so some of these may not fit your son's personalities but hopefully this is a great place to start. My boys and I are wishing all of you a fantastic time! Be sure to have a Mickey ice cream bar for us!
