We have planned a DW trip with a friend of mine for our 3 kids. We leave the day school lets out of the summer (May 2014). We want to do a scavenger hunt with the 3 kids. 2 - 9 year old boys and 1 - 5 year old girl. But, how? Where do we get clues?

    Hi Karine,

What a great idea to incorporate some fun into your vacation! While I have never created a scavenger hunt for Walt Disney World, I can at least tell you some resources. Upon checking into your Walt Disney World Resort, you will be given maps of each park which you can give to the children to help them in the park.

You could start each day by having them guess which park they are going to visit. Simply visit the Walt Disney World website to look for clues. The park maps have the locations of each show, attraction and restaurant which can help you guide your adventure. The website has descriptions and pictures of each you can use as clues. So for example, Animal Kingdom's clue could be something like "This park is where tigers roam, safaris are a must see and dinosaurs still exist." You could even print pictures to go with it if the children are not on the same reading level. Once they guess the correct park, hand them its map with the next clue in it.

As for in the park, you can then map out what the next attraction is to tour. So if you were at Disney's Hollywood Studios you might say, "A hat, hidden treasure and a giant boulder will have you sitting on the edge of your seat" for the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular. After you are finished the attraction, hand them the next clue you made.

Epcot actually has a built in scavenger hunt when you participate in Agent P's World Showcase Adventure. You get to be a secret agent and explore the countries.

    Wishing you a magical vacation!
