I planned my Disneyworld vacation through AAA, which includes theme park tickets. If my vacation plans change, can I change the start date of my tickets even though they were purchased through AAA? If I can change them, how many months can I change them to

    Hey there Anne-Marie!

Welcome to planDisney! Happy to see you here, and how exciting that you've got a Walt Disney World vacation in the works. Woo hoo!

There are many options when it comes to Disney World theme park tickets, so it's hard for me to say with absolute certainty the rules associated with tickets you purchased from AAA. But I can give you some tips that will hopefully help!

From what I saw on the AAA website, it looks like these tickets follow similar rules as the date-based tickets described on Disney World's website here. They are valid for admission beginning on your selected start date, and must be used within the valid use period. This valid use period gives you just a bit of "wiggle room", and varies with the length of your tickets. So for example, with 4 day tickets you've got a 7 day period to use them, beginning on the selected start date. With 5 day tickets, you've got an 8 day period, and so on.

If you need to completely change your arrival dates, your first step is to link the tickets you have purchased to your My Disney Experience account. Good news... it's often possible to change or modify your tickets yourself! Once logged in to the Disney website or My Disney Experience app, navigate to "Tickets & Passes", and look for an option to "Change Tickets". Please note when changing ticket dates, if there is an increase in price you'll be required to pay the difference.

If you aren't seeing any option to alter your ticket dates yourself, I recommend contacting a Cast Member and asking them for assistance. With a little faith, trust, and pixie-dust... I'm confident they'll be able to help you adjust your plans, Anne-Marie! As for which months you can change your tickets to - currently only 2025 ticket dates are available. Once Disney releases their 2026 vacation packages (which could be any time now, through this summer) tickets for next year's dates will also be available.

Whether your plans work out for May, or you have a slight delay... I'll be wishing upon a star for you to have a wonderful vacation once you arrive at Walt Disney World! Please don't hesitate to visit me again at planDisney with any additional questions you may have.

    Adventure is out there!
