Welcome aboard, Holly! You are vacationing with Disney my favorite way, with a Disney Parks visit before and after your cruise! There is no better way to go! If you haven't already, be sure to check out the ground transportation offered by Disney Cruise Line to take you between the resorts and the cruise port. There is an additional fee of $35 per person each way for this service, but it is worth every penny to let Disney take care of all of the details!
Unfortunately, the PhotoPass + does not include photos on your Disney cruise. There is a similar photo system on the Dream, however, it does not work with the PhotoPass at the parks. You can read about the photo options on the Dream on the
Photography page of Disney Cruise Line's website. You'll see that photo packages are available for pre-order, but you can also opt to simply see your photos onboard and choose to purchase a few prints, a cd with 10 or 20 images or purchase the entire set of photos on cd. Similarly to the PhotoPass at the parks, you'll hand your Key to the World card to the ship's photographers each time they take your picture which (along with photo recognition software) will assign each picture to your family's set so you can view them in Shutters (the photo shop onboard). There are also digital photo kiosks near Shutters where you can view all of your onboard pictures and even create photobooks!
Just keep in mind that unlike the PhotoPass system at the parks, guests are unable to view their cruise photos online after leaving the ship, so be sure to purchase your favorites while you're onboard, Holly!
Please stop back again if you have other questions before you set sail in January! I'm happy to help!
