I have planned and booked our family trip to WDW with 3 kids 3, 4,14 . When booking the Contemporary Resort was full so we went with Grand Floridian as a second option. Will we have just as good of time at this resort? Any other suggestions?

I have stayed at  both the Contemporary and the Grand Floridian several times. I personally very much prefer the GF. I find the GF theming to be much more relaxing and inviting than that at the Contemporary. You will also find impeccable service, great restaurants, and cute shops at the GF.

However, perhaps your main advantage with the GF right now is that you will avoid the construction at the Contemporary. There is currently a new "Kingdom Tower" building under construction at the Contemporary resort. There are cranes and trucks all over the place. The workers do a great job of keeping the noise to a minimum. (If you're at the parks all day, you might not even notice.) But there is quite a lot of extra activity over there, that if I could avoid I would.

I'm sure you'll have a great time at the Grand Floridian.
