Welcome to planDisney, Amanda!
I don't know about you, but I am ready for the clock to strike midnight on this year. How exciting that you will be ushering in the new year with Mickey Mouse and all of his pals!
At this time, Magic Kingdom does not have fireworks planned as a part of this year's
New Year's Eve celebration. Entertainment and events are subject to change throughout
Disney's phased reopening, so you never know what magic could happen between now and your visit! Be sure to follow the
Disney Parks Blog to stay current on all the announcements about the festivities this holiday season as you plan your vacation.
I was fortunate enough to stay at
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa during the Christmas season last year and December truly is a magical time to visit this resort! Keep the holiday spirit going after you arrive as you will still be able to see all the beautiful holiday decorations and trees in the lobby of the resort and even catch a glimpse of Santa Claus in the parks. If you have a Park Pass reservation for EPCOT, you can also enjoy the International Festival of the Holidays, a personal favorite of mine!
For New Year's Eve, consider a celebratory dinner at one of the resorts during your stay. Some of my favorite places to enjoy a great meal with a wonderful view of Magic Kingdom include
California Grill at Disney's Contemporary Resort or
Narcoossee's right at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa.
Topolino's Terrace at Disney's Riviera Resort also offers incredible views and a beautiful terrace where you can see both EPCOT and Disney's Hollywood Studios. Get ready as it is almost time for you to make your dining reservations, as you can begin making them 60 days before you arrive!
Visit us again at planDisney as the ball continues to drop, counting down the days until your vacation, Amanda! We are happy to help you plan your visit and ring the new year in right!
See ya real soon! Angie
