Planing a trip dec 19. Want to go fishing, when should I make reservation. Staying @ port Orleans. And the cost

    Hi William!

Thank you for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Disney's Port Orleans Resort-Riverside has so many wondEARful little, secret treasures and recreational fun for families, just like the Fishin' Hole at Ol' Man Island!

There are several different options for fishing adventures at Walt Disney World Resort. For dockside fishing, a reservation is not needed in advance and you can just talk with the concierge upon your arrival. If you wanted to do a Guided Fishing Excursion on a boat, this would require an advance reservation by calling 407-WDW-BASS. For the Fishin' Hole at Ol' Man Island there are a variety of packages available, with pricing subject to change. For family fishing for 1 hour, you'll receive up to six rods for $31.95, including all applicable taxes. For a half hour of family fishing up to six rods, the current price is $15.98. For smaller parties, the rental of a single rod is $10.65 per hour or $6.39 for a half hour.

I hope this helps in planning your holiday trip later this year! Please come back if we can help in any other way.
