I'm so excited to welcome you to planDisney and chat all things
Animal Kingdom Lodge with you! This resort is so special...I actually have a stay booked at Jambo House in just a couple of months, and I'm already counting down the days. One of the things I love most about Animal Kingdom Lodge is that it truly feels like a destination all on its own. From the stunning architecture and rich theming to the incredible savanna views and immersive atmosphere, it's easy to feel like you're on an entirely separate vacation without ever needing to set foot inside the theme parks.
As of now,
Kidani Village is expected to complete its refurbishment in May 2026, while Jambo House is scheduled to begin its refurbishment shortly after, running through January 2027. Because of this timeline, it's difficult to say with certainty how many rooms at Jambo House will be fully renovated by November 2026. You're always welcome to contact a Cast Member with
Ticket and Hotel Reservations to request a renovated room, based on availability, but it's important to keep in mind that these requests cannot be guaranteed. If staying in a renovated room is a top priority for your visit, booking a stay at Kidani Village might be your best option.
I completely understand wanting a savanna view where you can spot the giraffes...they're my favorite animals to watch on the savanna too! If you're staying at Kidani Village, you'll want to request a view of the Sunset Savanna. If your stay is at Jambo House, the Arusha Savanna is the one to request. Just remember that these requests cannot be guaranteed. I recommend reaching out directly to a Cast Member or using the chat feature on the Walt Disney World website or
My Disney Experience app to add your request.
No matter whether you choose Jambo House or Kidani Village, you're welcome to enjoy the amenities at both resorts. I always love recommending a meal at
Sanaa...its bread service is divine and a must-try. And don't forget to stop by
The Mara to pick up some delicious Zebra Domes, which are a fan favorite for a reason!
