Hello, We are planing to go to disney on the 13th of december, and my son will not turn 3 until december 26th. When buying the tickets it is telling me children under 3 are free. Is this true? Are they going to give me any problems at the gate when we go?

Hi Melissa! A Walt Disney World vacation is an awesome early birthday present for your son! Children under the age of 3 do not require admission tickets to enter the Disney parks, so as long as your son is 2 at the time of your visit, he'll be admitted for free.

When my kids were toddlers, they were large for their age, and I always worried that the castmembers at the park entrances wouldn't believe they were only 2.  We were asked the age of our little ones a few times, but we were never required to provide any proof that they were not yet 3 and they were admitted to the parks without a ticket.  If you're worried, you can always take a copy of your son's birth certificate with you, but it's not really necessary.

Another great perk of visiting Walt Disney World with a two-year-old is that children under 3 dine free at the buffets. Your little one can have a yummy meal and meet the characters at restaurants like Chef Mickey's or Crystal Palace for no charge!

Wishing your son a magical birthday! Come visit us again at the Moms Panel if you have more questions! We'd love to help!
