    Hi we are planing on coming back to WDW (Yeah). Will be my husband d(8), mom and me. We stayed at AKL last time and wondering if the poly is worth the extra $$ or should we go back to AKL.(we loved it there)

    Congratulations of your return trip to Walt Disney World, Crystal! I know you and your family must be super excited! I have personally stayed at both Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge Resort and Disney's Polynesian Resort and love them both! Although the theming is quite different as you can imagine, I think they both are really special and both have great amenities and unique qualities! One of my favorite aspects of taking frequent Disney Vacations is being able to experience new Resorts. I find that it gives us an entirely different feel to our Vacation and always keeps it interesting! We always schedule a non-park day to just really explore our Resort and enjoy the pools and other recreational activities. I do think the Polynesian Resort offers its guests the advantage of being situated on Seven Seas Lagoon with Sea Racers available to rent, a beach area, and easy viewing of the Electrical Water Pageant at night.There are other great advantages to staying at this tropical paradise such as larger guest rooms, central location to the other Magic Kingdom Resorts which allows more dining options, motor launch (water tax) to Magic Kingdom, and monorail transportation to the Magic Kingdom and Epcot. On the other hand, Disney's Animal Kingdom Resort does have the amazing Savannah and animals to enjoy watching during your visit.  I would recommend thinking about which parks you will be visiting on this upcoming trip and choose your resort accordingly. If you anticipate spending a great deal of time at Magic Kingdom or Epcot, then I would consider Disney's Polynesian Resort. If you will be at Disney's Animal Kingdom Park more, then you may want to choose Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge Resort.The good news is that there is no wrong choice here.
