Plane lands at 930, I was going to get a ride that is able to drop us off at blizzard beach for our free water park day and then drop our luggage off it our resort. Are we guaranteed to get in or does it reach capacity?

    Hey there, Ali!

Welcome to planDisney, and thanks for visiting us with your Disney World vacation question. Your magical trip is just a few days away... woo hoo!

The free admission to a Disney Water Park on arrival day benefit being offered to Disney Resort guests this year is a huge hit. How exciting that you'll be able to take advantage of it during your summertime visit! You've got a great strategy, and it will help that both Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon will be open to meet guest demand. There are no guarantees, but if you have an efficient plan to get there as quickly as possible, and stay flexible... you should be able to have a splashtastic day of fun!

I can tell you that if Blizzard Beach has already reached capacity by the time you arrive, you will be directed to Typhoon Lagoon instead, if they still have remaining capacity.

So that you are prepared, here's how to navigate to/from each Disney Water park using complementary Disney transportation. It sounds like you have a great plan with a ride drop-off. But you may use this in reverse, to get to your Disney Resort at the end of your water park adventure.

    • Transfer service to Blizzard Beach is through Animal Kingdom. So if you ride the bus leaving Blizzard Beach that day, you'll stop first at Animal Kingdom park, then hop on a bus to your resort.

    • Transfer service to Typhoon Lagoon is through Disney Springs. Leaving Typhoon Lagoon that day, you'll ride first to Disney Springs, and then transfer to a bus to your resort.

You really can't go wrong with either of these terrific parks!

Ali, don't forget to pack a handy tote bag of what you'll need to take right to the water parks, such as a swimsuit, sunscreen, wet bag, and change of clothes. Luggage is not allowed on Disney transportation buses. It sounds like you've got a good plan to have your ride drop off your luggage at your resort's Bell Services.

I hope this helps! Please visit me again at planDisney if you have any further questions. I'll be sending pixie dust your way to have the Best. Trip. Ever!!

    Go. Live your dream.
