    Plane arrive 9:30 AM in Vancouver. Ground transfer takes us directly to port. Are there places to eat and things to do with children to pass time until we can board the ship?

    Ahoy Paulette!
    Welcome back to the Moms Panel!  I just returned last week from an Alaskan sailing on the Disney Wonder so I know what a fabulous experience your family has to look forward to next summer!
    The Port of Vancouver is in the heart of the city so the area is surrounded by beautiful scenery, shops, restaurants including the Waterfront Centre Food Court if you want a quick bite.  The drive over to the port is around 30 minutes so by the time you go through Customs at the airport and drive over to the cruise terminal, the port will most likely be open for check-in.  Lunch is served onboard beginning between 11:30 to 12:00 pm so if this is the case, you can enjoy your first meal onboard at either Parrot Cay or Beach Blanket Buffet.  If you want to explore the area around the cruise terminal, you should have several hours before all aboard which is usually at 4:00 pm (check your cruise documents).
