Hello planDisney, I hope this finds you well. We are staying at Disney Riverside from 3-Jan to 8-Jan. I will not be going to the parks I will be a soccer mom doing dropoff/pickups. Do you think its quicker to use car when they go to MK, AK than parktransit

Hey, howdy, hey, Adriana! I'm so glad you stopped by planDisney with this question. It looks like you're immersed in the magic of Walt Disney World Resort this week, so let's talk about dropping off your little soccer stars during your visit.

My family is obsessed with all forms of Disney Resort Transportation, so I'm happy to share my opinions and tips. How exciting that your crew gets to enjoy some Florida sunshine AND theme park fun! And Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside was the first resort I visited decades ago, so it has sentimental ties for me. I hope you have a wonderful time on the bayou!

If your kiddos are heading to Magic Kingdom Park from your resort, the Walt Disney World Bus Service will likely be their best bet. Buses will pick them up near the resort entrance and drop them near the security checkpoint at Magic Kingdom's gate. If you choose to drive them, you'll be directed to the Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC), where they will go through security and then take the monorail or ferry to the Magic Kingdom entrance.

For their day at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park, you could opt for the buses or drive them yourself. The buses will drop them near the park entrance, or you'll be directed to the rideshare drop-off zone just to the right of the entrance. Their walk will be about the same whichever you choose. They'll have plenty of energy for soccer kicks later!

While the mice are playing in the parks, you could visit Scat Cat's Club - Café for yummy Mickey-shaped Beignets. You won't have to share a flake of powdered sugar with anyone. That sounds dreamy! And I enjoy taking the Sassagoula River Cruise from Disney's Port Orleans resorts to Disney Springs. The ride is peaceful and gorgeous, and you can browse to your heart's content in the shopping district.

Adriana, here's hoping your visit is full of pixie dust and soccer goals! Feel free to visit us at planDisney anytime.

    Magic awaits,
    Elaine
