Ahoy Nastjenka,
It's great to hear from you again! Disembarking from a
Disney Cruise is never easy, so I like that you're thinking ahead to make your future sailing a back-to-back, but on different ships! Having another cruise to look forward to as soon as Mickey says, "See Ya Real Soon," will be an extra magical experience for your crew.
I have some excellent news because booking two consecutive sailings back-to-back on different ships at the same cruise terminal is possible, Nastjenka! This is considered a side-by-side cruise since you'll be changing ships for the second sailing. Once the two sailings are reserved, you'll want to call
Disney Cruise Line so they can link the two sailings in their system. This will inform the Cast Members on the first sailing so they can deliver information about the switch over to your stateroom before debarkation. But I can give you a heads-up that you'll disembark the first ship, collect your luggage in the terminal, and proceed through US Customs just as you usually would. Once through US Customs, Disney Cruise Line will provide a shuttle over to the second cruise terminal. Then you'll proceed to drop off your checked luggage and go through the check-in process just as you did before, so you'll want your passports,
important documents, and
any DisneyBand+ handy. Also, be sure to keep anything you'll need that first afternoon in your carry-on luggage and switch out the luggage tags on your bags.
I'm glad I was able to provide you with the answer you were hoping to hear, Nastjenka! With the fleet growth, your idea will be something other cruisers will want to consider so they can experience two different vessels with different dining venues, shows, and theming on the same vacation. It will surely make for a memorable and magical time with your favorite Disney friends. If you have any other questions, please reach back out as we are always happy to help.
Happy planning,
Nancy
