Hello PlanDisney, as a first time visitor to Aulani with a DVC reservation can you tell me how best to book a character breakfast at Aulani? How far out from your reservation check-in date can it be booked?

    Aloha, Jennifer!

Mahalo for stopping by planDisney with your question.  How exciting that you have an upcoming visit to Aulani, a Disney Resort & Spa in August.  I am also heading there this summer myself, but it is our third time.  There's no place I'd rather be than enjoying a Hawaiian roller coaster ride at Aulani.  When the spirit of Aloha meets the magic of Disney, happiness is where you are!

I am so happy to help you with your question about booking your Character Breakfast at Aulani.  It's so much fun to have Mickey, Minnie and pals dressed in their Hawaiian best greeting you, while Auntie plays some Hawaiian tunes on the ukulele. It takes place daily at Makahiki - The Bounty of the Islands, which is a beautiful restaurant that overlooks the koi pond in the heart of the Resort.

To book your Character Breakfast, you can call 30 days out from the date of your choice and make a reservation.  You'll want to call the Guest Services at Aulani and select "dining," and you can reserve your seating.  It's that simple!

A quick tip for you, Jennifer, is that if you are interested in booking the KA WA'A LU'AU, you can do that on the Aulani website about four months out.  You can try booking it sooner by calling the concierge desk, but I just checked online and it currently only shows availability for four months out. Also, be sure and download the Aulani app to your phone, as this is where you will have access to all of your Resort reservations, a helpful Resort map, and the Daily 'Iwa, which is the list of all of the daily activities. There are so many things happening each day, you won't want to miss a thing!

I hope this helps you, Jennifer! If you have any additional questions, stop back and see me. Here at planDisney, we are your Disney vacation planning 'ohana. 'Ohana means family, and that means nobody gets left behind.

    Happy planning!
