Hi planDisney! Are we able to golf on the Disney courses when we stay at Swan/Dolphin? And are we included in any of the perks Disney Resort guest receive? Clearly a newbie at this so any tips to help up get set up would be great!

Hi Candace! Welcome back to planDisney!

You're certainly in for a fabulous vacation when you choose to stay at the Walt Disney World Swan or Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel!  I've stayed at these Resorts more times than I can count, starting from our very first family vacation in 1989 all the way to our wedding in 2017!  While we've certainly also stayed at our fair share of Disney Resorts Collection hotels, for some reason the nostalgia of all of our past trips always brings my parents back to the Swan and Dolphin.  Because of this, every "grandparent" vacation we take leads us "home" to one of these two luxurious Resorts.  I can't find a complaint about it though! The location is hard to beat, the restaurants are top-notch and the numerous pools will keep you and your family relaxed and refreshed throughout your entire vacation.

One of the best reasons to stay at these Resorts is that you get so many of the same benefits of staying right in the magic at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel!  Just like the incredible Resorts owned by Disney, Guests of the Swan and Dolphin are able to access Early Theme Park Entry hours.  This means that you and your party are able to enter any of the four Theme Parks 30 minutes early every day of your vacation!  These Resorts are also considered "Deluxe" Resorts, which means that you even get the perk of Extended Evening Theme Park hours, reserved only for Guests staying at Disney Deluxe Resorts, the Swan and Dolphin and Shades of Green.  The days with extended hours vary by date, but you'll definitely want to look at the calendar and take advantage of them.  With so few Guests in the Parks, you'll feel like you have the whole place to yourself and be able to just walk on to most rides and attractions! And nothing beats walking down an empty Main Street U.S.A. at the end of the night.

If you're hoping to golf while visiting the Walt Disney World Resort you're certainly in luck!  With four beautifully manicured courses you can't go wrong no matter which you choose. Whether you're looking for a quick 9-hole walking course at Disney's Oak Trail Golf Course or you want to walk the green of a course that hosted the PGA Tour, like Disney's Magnolia Golf Course, you'll be able to book a tee-time at any, since these courses are all open to Guests of the Swan, Dolphin and Swan Reserve.  You can book a tee time by calling (407)WDW-GOLF (that's (407)939-4653), speaking to your hotel concierge or booking online at golfwdw.com.

I hope you have a wonderfully magical vacation, but please stop by again if you have any other questions before you leave!

Hi All, I'm Ashley! From the very beginning Walt Disney World Resort has always been a part of my life. As a child I excitedly helped to plan family trips, as a young adult I planned our "happily ever after" right on Disney property, and now I'm lucky enough to plan magical vacations for my three incredible children. When we're not taking in the enchanting experiences of the parks, we're home in Massachusetts, probably planning our next trip! Learn More About Ashley
