I plan on going to WDW in Dec 2009 w/ my husband and 3 kids, but my aunt was thinking about coming w/ us w/ her family but they are Jehovah witnesses, do you think All characters are all dressed up in Holiday themes or is that just not a good month to go.

I did some reading to answer this question, but my knowledge of the Jehovah's Witness faith is quite limited, so please forgive me if I misspeak. My understanding is that Jehovah's Witnesses do not celebrate Christmas. If avoiding Christmas iconography is imperative to your family, then I would suggest that you avoid Disney World from mid-November until the second week of January.

The parks and resorts are heavily decorated for Christmas. The characters do wear holiday outfits. There are trees in the lobbies of most of the hotels and in the theme parks. Christmas music is piped along the walkways. There is Christmas-themed merchandise in all the shops. There are special Christmas menus in many of the restaurants. Santa visits the Magic Kingdom. Part of Disney's Hollywood Studios is completely covered with Christmas lights. You get the idea. For those looking to get into the spirit of Christmas, there is no better place to go than Walt Disney World. If for religious, or other, reasons, Christmas is something that you'd like to avoid, then there are better times of the year to visit Disney World.

Please let us know if there is other information you need to help you plan the best possible trip for your family.
