I plan on visiting Walt Disney World on July 3rd and 4th. I will not have a car. My plan is to visit the resort hotels to have drinks during the day, not the evening when all the fireworks will be going off. Is that allowed?

Hey there, Ryan, and welcome to planDisney!

One of the main reasons I recommend staying on the property at Walt Disney World Resort is that a car isn't a necessity. Frankly, I haven't had one with me on a Disney vacation in years. With the Monorail, the Disney Skyliner, water taxis, and buses, you can easily get to any destination you'd like. My resort-hopping obsession couldn't be easier to facilitate. It's nothing for me to leave Magic Kingdom to do a little shopping, and have a little lunch and cocktail situation at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa. I'm happy to say that you can live your best Disney life and visit the Disney Resorts Collection hotels for some relaxation in the middle of those hot Summer days. I hear The Perch has a Floridian 75 that's a delicious take on my favorite French 75. And that's only one beverage at the Most Magical Place on Earth. There are great lounges and restaurants all over the place to wet your whistle.

Pro-tip: Lounges operate with different schedules than some other restaurants on property, so be sure to check their opening time to plan your arrival just right.

Ryan, have the best sips and treats during your vacation. If you have any other questions, come back to see me. I have a ton more recommendations waiting for you!

    Happy planning!
    Taylor
