Plan on visiting Disney World the second week of June and are struggling on which resort to stay at? Our daughter is 8 years old. This will be our first time visiting with her. Our thought is to stay close to Magic Kingdom. Recommendations?

    Hello, Anthony!

There are many wonderful Disney Resort hotel choices located in the Magic Kingdom area. If you plan to spend some time traveling to and from Magic Kingdom Park, you might want to consider staying in one of the Deluxe Resorts on the monorail line. Disney's Contemporary Resort is the most convenient in this category, as it is also only a short walk to Magic Kingdom Park.

Another great choice is Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. It offers several great dining options on-site, like O'hana. If you choose to stay at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, make sure you try the Tonga Toast at Kona Cafe. It is a delicious way to start any magical Disney day!

Disney's Wilderness Lodge is not located on the monorail line, but it's a short boat or bus ride to Magic Kingdom. It offers a gorgeously themed pool area that will delight your family, and like the first two properties I mentioned, you will even be able to view the Electrical Water Pageant from the property.

The Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort is one of the Moderate Resorts that offers boat transportation to Magic Kingdom Park. Your family can engage in archery, pony rides, and more from this property, making it an ideal choice for families that need a little down time at the hotel in between park hopping.

I'm sure you will have a wonderful visit with your daughter, Anthony! If you have any other questions about your upcoming trip to Walt Disney World, please don't hesitate to contact us at the Moms Panel. Happy planning!
