We plan to visit WDW Oct. 16-22 with our two kids, 8 and 6. What are the best places to eat at Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom? Is there still hope to get reservations?

    Hi Julie!

Yes! There is always hope! Especially if you're willing to dine at slightly off-peak times like a late breakfast, early or late dinner. Personally, I like to check the Online Dining Reservation system on Walt Disney World's website to see what restaurants are available. It is a convenient and easy way to check (and re-check) to see what is available during your stay.

Reservations are only needed for Table Service restaurants, and here are a few of my favorites in each park:
    • Magic Kingdom: Crystal Palace is my favorite! This venue features a great breakfast, lunch or dinner buffet where you can dine with Pooh & his pals. Its a fun dining experience that gives a vacation a special touch! Also at the Magic Kingdom, our family enjoys Tony's Town Square Restaurant as well. Its a great choice for a great air conditioned meal!
    • At Animal Kingdom, Yak & Yeti is our favorite restaurant by far! Its a must do for every trip!
Good luck! And be persistent in looking for reservations. Availability changes all the time, so you never know when a table might open up!
