Hi Juan,
I'm a firm believer that planning the trip is half the fun, so I love that you're wanting to think about your visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth before it's time to
book your vacation. I do need to say, though, that there's something really special about visiting Walt Disney World Resort with
little ones. My husband and I started bringing our oldest Mouseketeer when he was about 18 months old, and all of our other kiddos took their first trip within their first year or so of life. Experiencing the joy and wonder through their eyes was
incredibly precious. Of course, children under age three also receive free admission, so that's a great perk, too!
Regardless of when you decide to visit, though, the main planning steps don't change. I'd start by snuggling up on the couch, watching Disney movies, and enjoying the classic tales with your little one so that the characters and stories are familiar. To build anticipation and learn all kinds of great information about all that a Disney visit entails, I'd encourage you to check out some of the fantastic
videos on planDisney. You'll find videos about the different
theme parks, how to tour the parks with little ones, how to take advantage of all the various Resort hotels have to offer, and much, much more. I'd also recommend reading as much as possible! Peruse Disney's website to discover more about each
Resort hotel,
attraction, and even all of the scrumptious
food involved in a Disney vacation. Follow the
Disney Parks Blog and
Disney's various social media channels for all the latest announcements and updates. And would you like to know how I learned a TON about planning a Disney vacation? Before I ever even imagined I'd be helping other Guests plan their own magical Disney vacations, I read questions and answers here at what's now known as
planDisney regularly! Who knows...maybe someday YOU'LL be sharing all you've learned with other Guests!
This is an exciting time for you, Juan. Enjoy every season raising your Mouseketeer, have a blast dreaming your Disney dreams, and soak up every
moment of magic and fun whenever the time arrives for you to visit Walt Disney World Resort together. Of course, don't hesitate to come see us any time you have a question or would like some advice, too. We're always here and happy to help!
