Hello! We plan to visit DLR the week of Aug 24-28 and wanted to book a character breakfast but see that there is no availabilities for any restaurants. Is there a reason why there is currently no reservations during that week (such as a special event)?

Welcome to planDisney, Rosanna! There's something extra magical about starting your Disneyland day with a delicious breakfast alongside some of your favorite Disney pals. I'd be happy to help explain what you're seeing and share a few ideas for your visit!

At the moment, reservations for several of the Disneyland Resort character dining experiences during your travel dates aren't showing availability. While dining reservations can be made up to 60 days in advance, they don't always become available at exactly the same time for every location. Disney hasn't announced any special events or closures affecting these experiences during the week of your visit, so it's possible reservations are simply being released on a delayed schedule. My best advice is to continue checking the Disneyland website or Disneyland app, as availability can appear at any time, especially as other Guests adjust their plans.

I did take a peek at your travel dates and found that Disney Princess Breakfast Adventures, located inside Napa Rose at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, currently has availability on select days. This enchanting three-course dining experience offers the opportunity to meet several Disney Princesses, enjoy individual photo opportunities, and even hear stories inspired by their adventures. The menu is equally impressive, featuring elegant breakfast favorites alongside delicious luncheon offerings that make this experience feel truly fit for royalty. If this sounds like the perfect way to begin your day, I'd recommend making your reservation as soon as you're ready.

If you aren't able to secure a character dining reservation, you can still enjoy a wonderful princess experience during your visit. Royal Hall in Fantasy Faire at Disneyland is home to meet-and-greets with beloved Disney Princesses beginning at 10:00 a.m. on your travel dates. You'll have the chance to meet up to three princesses, snap photos together, and collect autographs. Some of my family's favorite Disneyland memories come from moments just like these, and I still smile when I think back to my own daughters meeting their favorite princesses for the very first time.

Rosanna, I hope this helps you feel confident as you continue planning your magical Disneyland Resort vacation. If any other questions come up before your visit, please stop by planDisney again. We'd be delighted to help!

May your mornings be filled with magical moments, memorable character hugs, and a breakfast worthy of a fairy tale!
