Hi! We plan to visit at Christmas this year ans I hope to be able to score a table at CRT . I'm wondering since it takes 2 meals off of our dining plan, would it make sense to go ahead and buy an extra day on our tickets just for that purpose? Thank-you

    Ami,

Dining plan credits are based on the number of nights that you spend at the Disney resort, not the number of park ticket days you purchase.

EXAMPLE: You have a 6 night vacation with a 6 park days ticket. If you moved to 7 park days, your number of meals remains the same.

So the answer is no, it would not make sense to buy the extra tickets.

Your best bet is to figure out what meals to pay for out of pocket. Often the dollar value 2-table service credit meals is not as good as the 1-credit ones. That is, the 2 credits you 'spend' on a signature meal may end up being worth (hypothetically) $30 per credit ($60 for the meal). If you used those two credits at table service meals that only 'cost' one credit each, you may get $35 per credit.

Does that make sense? So keep plans as they are, and budget to pay for some meals out of pocket.

Have a magical (and delicious) vacation!
