We plan to visit AK on the day Fantasmic is playing at DHS. Should we leave AK early to catch the show? We also have a late 8:20PM reservation at Chef Mickeys. Would this be too much running around between 3 parks? Should we skip Fantasmic?

    Hi William,

Fantasmic is my oldest son's favorite thing at Disney World so we never miss the chance to see it. It is a great show with lots of amazing lights and laser effects and in general, a really fun show to watch.

I am not sure when you are coming, however Animal Kingdom tends to close earlier than the other parks so typically you would have plenty of time to get over to Hollywood Studios. The bad thing about arriving at DHS just before the show is that the theater tends to fill up quite early and depending on how close it is to show time when you arrive, you may not get seats in your desired location. The other thing you should consider is how much time you will have once the show is over to make it to the Contemporary resort and your reservation at Chef Mickeys. Depending on what time Fantasmic starts and the crowd levels leaving DHS, you may be running late to dinner.

Hollywood Studios offers a great dining opportunity in conjunction with the Fantasmic show. You are able to choose from the Brown Derby, Hollywood and Vine or Mama Melrose's for your dining options and ask for the Fantasmic package. This package gives you a special entrance into the Fantasmic theater and a section of seats held just for the package diners. My suggestion would be to look into a different night to see Fantasmic and call for the Fantasmic dinner package, or see if you can have dinner that evening at DHS and choose another night for Chef Mickeys. Call and speak to the reservationists at 1-407-939-3463 and see which if these options are available during your stay.

    Enjoy,
    Margaret
