We plan on viewing Illuminations on an evening in March at 9pm. I made reservations at 6:30pm at Teppan Edo but looking at a map, it looks like Japan is far from the entrance of Epcot. How far of a treck are we looking at?

    Hi Michelle!

It sounds like you have a great plan! Teppan Edo is my son's absolute favorite restaurant in all of Disney World, and Illumination is spectacular!

From the main entrance of Epcot to Japan, it is approximately a 3/4 to 1 mile walk (according to the pedometer on Google Maps). We have run through Epcot when late for a reservation in Japan, and made it in about 15 min. However, 30 minutes is more reasonable - if you aren't interested in stopping along the way.

Once you are in Japan, you are in a wonderful location to watch Illuminations! There are plenty of spots to enjoy the fireworks along the lake. After your dinner, you can stroll through the World Showcase, or simply pick out a great spot in Japan to sit and enjoy the scenery.

You'll also be able to slowly stroll out of the park, without rushing, as Disney transportation will continue running until all guests have exited the park.

Enjoy your evening at Epcot! It sounds like a wonderful evening to me!
