I want to plan vacation for Disney April 22 to April 29 at Florida. Please help me out preparing the vacation for my kids age 8

Hi, Ketul! I'm so glad you stopped by planDisney. I'm so excited you're planning a magical adventure to Walt Disney World Resort for your children this month, and I'd love to help you get started. To paraphrase Peter Pan, dreams come true if only we plan hard enough!

Ketul, take it from a planner; you can schedule every second of a visit or wing it. My family has the most fun when we do a little bit of both. So with some faith, love, and pixie dust, we can get you started on a wonderful trip to Neverland!

The first item I always take care of is booking a Disney Resort Hotel. There are resorts for every budget and family, so explore the options and choose what's best for your needs. Staying at a resort onsite offers many benefits and conveniences, such as early entry for all four theme parks and complimentary transportation to the parks.

Once your hotel is secured, you can choose the type of theme park tickets you'd like. I'd suggest you take a look at the tickets that allow visiting one theme park each day. Then, you can enjoy all each park offers without spending time traveling between them. I think your eight-year-olds will enjoy all four theme parks, so you could purchase four-day tickets for your party and use your other open days to enjoy the pool and amenities at your resort. When my son was eight, he enjoyed the Lego Store at Disney Springs as much as anything we did!

After you purchase your theme park tickets, please remember to make Theme Park Reservations for each day because you'll need a ticket and a reservation to enter the parks. The only other item is to make some dining reservations. Since you're already within the 60-day window to book dining, I'd recommend booking one Table Service meal each day in the theme parks. It's an excellent time to catch your breath and reconnect. Your kids might enjoy helping you choose the restaurants! And there are plenty of Quick Service options, as well. You'll never go hungry at Walt Disney World!

Ketul, remember to download the My Disney Experience Mobile App before your visit. It will help you keep track of all these magical plans you're going to make. I would love to answer any additional questions you have, so please stop back by planDisney anytime. You can find me at the second star to the right and straight on till morning!

    Magic awaits,
    Elaine
