We plan to utilize the mobile ordering while at the park but how do we handle dinner reservations. It's not clear which restaurants have outdoor dining. We are only interested in eating outside so I am curious if anyone has any advice! Thanks.

    Hello Norka!

Welcome to planDisney! How exciting that you will be visiting the Walt Disney World Resort! As a nurse, I am very conscientious about safety during the pandemic, and, over the past year, the only place I have felt comfortable dining in a restaurant is at Disney. Currently, Disney is not filling either quick-service or table-service restaurants to capacity, Cast Members are properly masked, and Guests must wear their masks in the restaurant until the food arrives at the table.

We will be visiting again this summer, and while outdoor dining is always lovely, I will say the options are limited. But never fear, I do have some suggestions for you! Please keep in mind that you cannot reserve an outdoor table in advance. I would visit the podium at the restaurant earlier in the day, or upon arrival and mention your preference for an outdoor table. You should be prepared, however, that this request may not be accommodated. Choosing less popular times to dine, such as 11 AM for lunch or 4 PM for dinner would increase your chances of getting your request.

At Magic Kingdom, Tony’s Town Square Restaurant has a few tables outside. These are smaller and usually limited to parties of 4 or fewer. At Epcot, you’ll find outdoor seating in the United Kingdom at the Rose & Crown Dining Room. I love their Corned Beef and Cabbage! You’ll also find open-air dining and Mediterranean flavors at Spice Road Table in the Morocco Pavilion. While this location is covered, there is an area with open walls and a nice breeze. The advantage of this location is that it is a walk-up location so reservations are not accepted and getting a table isn’t usually a challenge.

You may also want to consider bars and lounges that serve food as options for al fresco dining. At Disney’s Hollywood Studios, BaseLine Tap House offers drinks and light bites. And at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, the Nomad Lounge also offers outdoor seating with a lovely view, beverages, and small plates.

I hope some of these options sound good to you, Norka! Please let us know if you have any additional questions before your visit. We are here to help!
