If I plan a trip and stay 3 nights at a Value resort, and then splurge for 2 nights at a Deluxe resort during the free dining plan promotion, am I eligible for the Disney Dining Plan or Quick Service Dining Plan during my stay?

Hi there, Michael! Thanks so much for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

The Free Dining Offer is such an amazing way to get the most bang for your buck when booking a Walt Disney World Resort vacation. Michael, as you know, by taking advantage of this offer you will receive a complimentary Disney Dining Plan with the purchase of a vacation package, which includes both a hotel room and tickets. If you are staying at a Walt Disney World Resort Value or Moderate level hotel, you will receive the Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan. If you are staying at a Deluxe or Deluxe Villa hotel, you will receive the classic Disney Dining Plan. Michael, since you will be doing a split stay, you will actually have two separate Disney Dining Plans, the Disney Quick-Servicing Dining Plan will be for 3 nights, and the Disney Dining Plan will be for 2 nights.

Michael, although I am a huge fan of split stay vacations, I would actually recommend that you stay at one resort if you are taking advantage of the Free Dining Offer. Since the free dining offer comes with a vacation package, you would have to purchase tickets for both of your stays. Because of the pricing structure of theme park tickets, this could offset a good bit of your savings that you would normally receive with the Free Dining Offer. What I would personally recommend is to split the difference and spend a week at a Moderate resort. With the Moderate resort, you will receive the Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan, however, you may always pay the difference to upgrade it to the Disney Dining Plan.

I hope that this helped, Michael. Please come back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel if we can help as you plan your magical adventure!
