I would like to plan a trip to stay on Disney property for the year 2026 how far I advance should I start

Hello and welcome to planDisney, Joanna!

You are a planning warrior, and that is the kind of planner I am for many of our Walt Disney World Resort vacations! The feeling of planning every detail of an upcoming vacation is priceless. It allows you time to prepare everything you want to experience, and because it is in advance, there is no telling what new additions will be included in 2026. I am here for it all!

You can currently begin making reservations for the next year in the late springtime of the year before. For example, if you want to travel in 2026 (if things remain the same), you can begin making those 2026 reservations in the late spring of 2025. In the meantime, you can always get an idea of what things could cost by researching the cost of a sample vacation priced for the time of year you want to travel. While the actual cost noted could be more or less, it gives you a baseline to start with. Also, start looking at the resorts and comparing what amenities are important to you. Having a space to work is essential for my upcoming stay. While you are at it, be sure to have an idea of how many days you would like to stay and go from there.

In the meantime, we will be here to answer any questions you may have, which will help you to plan your ultimate stay.

    Have a magical planning experience.
