Hi Jeneva!
Welcome to planDisney! How exciting that you’ll be getting a Disney World trip on the books!
First things first, I’d check the
Special Offers page on Disney World’s website. If there are any deals that work for the dates you’re hoping to book, that’s the icing on the cake!
After that, start thinking about which resort you’d like to stay in. There are so many to choose from, and it will really come down to your family’s budget and what you want out of the resort (such as location, transportation options to the theme parks, pools, restaurants, amenities, and overall vibe). The
planDisney Resort Pocket Guides are a great way to get an overview of each resort.
Once you have an idea of where you’d like to stay, choose how many park days you’d like to do and what ticket type you’d like to purchase. Here’s a good
review of the ticket types to help you make your decision.
Now, you’re ready to book! Go to the
homepage of Disney World’s website and fill in the Build Your Vacation section right at the top. Follow the prompts to choose your resort, tickets, and any add-ons. Once that’s completed, make sure to
create a My Disney Experience account and download the
My Disney Experience app. Those will become the hub for all things planning from there on out.
Next comes the part that I think is the most fun! Looking into
dining options, deciding which
theme parks and attractions are priorities for you, creating an itinerary…you get the idea! When you get to that part of your planning (or even before that!), feel free to come back with any specific questions you have. We’re always happy to help!
Happy planning!
