Hiya Landia!
Congratulations on your first trip to Walt Disney World! How exciting! You've made an excellent first step in the process by reaching out to
planDisney!
I have a few bits of advice that will help you make your trip magical!
The first thing that you will want to do is decide what time of year to visit. While I love visiting Walt Disney World all year,
autumn has to be my favorite season to visit. I adore the fall decorations around the park; the oranges, yellows, and browns get me in a comfy fall mood. I also love visiting the
EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival every year. Eating and drinking your way around the World Showcase is an excellent way to spend the day.
Once you decide
when to visit, it's time to decide
where. Check out the great selection of
Walt Disney World Resort Hotels and you can easily book online. You can't go wrong with any of them, but I highly recommend either
Disney's Grand Floridian,
Contemporary, or
Polynesian Resort. All of these resorts are along the monorail line and it's easy to get to both Magic Kingdom and EPCOT.
Prior to purchasing park tickets, make sure to review the
theme park availability calendar. Note that green means that all parks are available on that date. Choose the number of days you want to visit the parks and you can purchase both your tickets and resort hotel online. Immediately after purchasing your tickets, make sure to
reserve your theme park in advance.
If you stay at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel, not only can you take advantage of the many
perks, such as early theme park entry and extended evening hours, but you can also book your
advanced dining reservations for your entire stay (up to a 10-day stay) 60 days in advance. I highly recommend
Coral Reef at
EPCOT,
Tony's Town Square Restaurant at
Magic Kingdom, and the
Hollywood Brown Derby at
Disney's Hollywood Studios.
Magically,
Stacy
