I want to plan a trip to Disney this holiday season, for my wife and I. What dates "typically" are least crowded. I am disabled and heavy crowds are difficult for me to maneuver through. Thanks.

    Hi Jesse!

Welcome to planDisney! The holidays are my favorite time of the year to visit Disney World, so I’m excited you’ll get to experience it this year!

The holiday festivities at Disney World really start up around early to mid-November and go through the New Year. Typically, you’ll find fewer crowds overall around the 2nd and 3rd weeks of November and the first two weeks of December. By visiting those weeks, you’ll miss the big crowds that come along during school holiday breaks.

Something to keep in mind when choosing between those two times is the festivals at Epcot. The Food & Wine Festival is happening now and goes through November 22, 2025. And the Festival of the Holidays goes from November 28 through December 30, 2025. Both have very different vibes, but both are great in their own way!

If you’re looking to enjoy the parks with even fewer crowds, you could consider attending one (or both!) of the holiday parties offered. On select nights in November and December, Magic Kingdom hosts Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party and Hollywood Studios hosts Jollywood Nights.

With the holiday parties, not only will you get to enjoy the party offerings, but you’ll also get to enter the park early with your ticket (entry time varies depending on which party you attend), which really increases the value of the ticket if you decide to only purchase party tickets instead of standard park tickets.

I was lucky enough to go to Jollywood Nights last year, and it was amazing to see Hollywood Studios with such low crowd levels!

It’s good to note that some holiday party dates are already sold out, though, so it’s worth looking into prior to choosing your vacation dates if the parties are a priority.

Before I let you go, I also want to point you to a great resource on navigating the parks with a disability. This Accessibility Services page on Disney World’s website has all sorts of helpful information.

I hope that gives you some guidance as you start to plan your vacation! If you have any other questions, let us know. We’re always happy to help!
