i want to plan a trip to disney for my family of 5 for my 40th birthday in 2022

A Very Merry Unbirthday to you!

Welcome to planDisney, Lisa. I’ll be happy to help you get started on planning a vacation to Walt Disney World Resort. There’s honestly no better way to celebrate a birthday, than at the Walt Disney World Resort.

I was able to look at the dates available to book a vacation and as of now, Guests can book through December 2021. Dates for the 2022 year have not yet been released. My recommendation is to continue to check the official Walt Disney World Resort website and the Disney Parks Blog for the most up-to-date information and the announcement of dates for the 2022 year.

It’s never too early to start researching what you may want to do, or where you want to stay, when you visit. Since you are traveling as a party of 5, I highly recommend the Family Suites at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort. There’s plenty of room to spread out! Plus, if you’re traveling with little ones, they will love the resort’s incredibly themed rooms that spread across the entire resort. This resort also offers the Disney Skyliner, which is a whimsical way to travel to and from EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios! Honestly, the Family Suites at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort are a family favorite.

You may even want to consider adding something from the Enchanting Extras collection as a way to celebrate you! Even though you can’t book just yet, it’s fun to start creating a wish-list of “must-dos”. Lisa, I hope this helps you prepare for your Merry Unbirthday celebration! Please let us know if there’s anything else we can do to help you prepare for this exciting visit.

Hi! I'm Shantel from Arizona. I am a mom of two and a military wife. I grew up going to the parks, and now we're sharing that tradition with our kids. When I am not visiting the Walt Disney World Resort, I'm at home researching and planning for our next trip. One of my favorite things to do is search for new snacks to try, especially if they are Mickey-shaped. I'm definitely living the dream my heart wished for and I cannot wait to answer your questions and help make your vacation even more magical! Learn More About Shantel
