How do I plan a trip

Hey there, hi there, Ashani! Welcome to planDisney. We are so glad you are here to ask us your planning question!

You've asked us a really great question, and a very important one, if you want to visit The Happiest Place on Earth soon. The first step in your planning would be figuring out when you want to visit. If you have some flexibility, I recommend checking out the 2025 Event Dates to see if there's something special going on that you may want to experience. Then, you will want to figure out how many days you'll want to be in the parks. There are three Disneyland Resort Hotels, and I think each one of them is a fabulous option if you want to fully immerse yourself in the resort. Disneyland Resort is situated in Anaheim, so there are also a lot of Good Neighbor Hotels close by. You can book hotels and then tickets separately, or you can bundle them all up in a Disneyland Resort Hotel Package. If you book a package far enough in advance, you can usually put a down payment and have time to pay the remainder 30 days before arrival.

Disneyland Resort is anticipating the kick-off of the 70th Celebration that starts in May 2025 and will go through the summer. This will be a really exciting time to visit, and it's sure to bring lots of magic to your visit.

Ashani, I have only just touched on the basics of planning, and there's so much more we could chat about when it comes to your park days, so you know where to find us! We are here for all the rest of your planning questions!

Meet the Panelist: Carrie, California

Well hello there, friend! I'm Carrie, a work-from-home mom and military wife who currently calls sunny San Diego home. You'll find my family in the parks braving drops and coasters to work up our appetite to take as many snack breaks as we can. While Disneyland is our home away from home, we love trying to make a Walt Disney World Resort vacation happen at least once a year now too. All my friends know I'm the go-to for Disney advice, so I'm here to help you plan and experience the magic on your visit! Learn More About Carrie
