Hi there, Sheryll!
You are in for such a treat staying in the magic at a Disneyland Resort Hotel. There is nothing better than starting and ending your day in the bubble that is the Happiest Place on Earth. I'm happy to help you plan your visit for next month!
It sounds like you'd like to arrange hotel accommodations on property for two nights along with a 1-Day Park Ticket. I hope I have that right! I have done this myself not too long ago for my own family, so you've come to the right place. In this instance, you will need to book your hotel accommodation separately from purchasing your theme park tickets - both can easily be done on the Disneyland website. If you were interested in booking Multi-Day Theme Park Tickets (2 or more days), you would have the opportunity to book everything together as part of a
Disneyland Resort Vacation Package. While the package includes a few magical extras like a commemorative pin and lanyard and a 10% discount on select dining and merchandise locations throughout Downtown Disney, you will be entitled to the
same perks like Early Entry in either case!
On the website, select "Places to Stay" along the top navigation bar and enter your dates and number of Guests. You will see availability for all three Disneyland Resort Hotels as well as an option to browse Good Neighbor Hotels. The Good Neighbor Hotels are local, Mickey-approved accommodations but do not include the perks associated with Disneyland Resort Hotels. Once you select a hotel, you can choose your room preference. The next page will ask if you'd like to include theme park tickets. If you plan to stick to one park day, simply select "No Ticket" and follow through with the rest of the checkout process.
Once that is complete, you can go ahead and book your
theme park tickets by selecting the "Tickets & Parks" tab on the top navigation bar of the website. Choose your ticket type, number of days, number of Guests, and if you'd like a 1-Park Per Day ticket or a Park Hopper. On the next page, you will select your date and the theme park you would like to visit that day. If you upgraded to a Park Hopper, you are choosing the park where you will start your day, with hopping privileges beginning at 11:00 AM. Once the checkout process is complete, you will have your ticket and theme park reservations all set for your visit!
Beyond Early Entry and its 30 magical minutes in the parks before opening, there are lots of other pixie-dusted perks of staying on property. One of my favorite conveniences is the
direct-to-room access, which allows you to check in up to 5 days prior to arrival and use the Disneyland App as your hotel key once your room is ready. No need to stop at the front desk, just head right to your accommodations! You can also
charge back purchases and meals from the theme parks directly to your room. Each of the three hotels on property offers something unique, from the nostalgia of the Disneyland Hotel to the immersive storytelling of Pixar Place to the California craftsman-style architecture of the Grand Californian - you can't go wrong with any of these options!
Sheryll, I know this was a lot to take in. If you have any follow-up questions, please come back to see us here at planDisney!
