Hey there, hi there, Sharon! Welcome, and thanks so much for stopping by
planDisney with your question.
It's clear by your question that you already know
Walt Disney World has some restrictions when it comes to
what we can wear to the
theme parks, and specifically, that no costumes are permitted. The only restaurants that have a dress code outside of the theme parks are going to be the
signature dining restaurants. There isn't really a "no costumes" clause in that particular dress code.
I don't know if you've been shopping lately, but the trend in dresses seems to be harkening back to a Little House on the Prairie vibe, so technically, if you look at the Holy Clothing vibe, you're just going a little further - okay, a lot further - back. I think there are ways to tone down the Holy Clothing dresses so they look less Ren Faire. Skip the aprons and overdresses, and some of them look just Boho. Those will be fine.
The one thing I may put out there as a word of caution is to avoid the temptation to go full-on Merida. That type of Celtic dress very much lends itself to a Merida costume type of look, and that may raise some eyebrows and confuse a few kids. If you can skip the green - especially if you have gorgeous red, curly hair - you'll be in better shape!
Have so much fun, Sharon!
