Hi! We plan on taking our 3 year old twins to Disney for the first time soon and our plan is to stay at the Art of Animation Resort. Do the family suites connect to other suites or any single rooms?

    Hi there, Jordan!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I'm so excited to hEAR you are taking your 3-year-old twins to Walt Disney World Resort for the first time soon!

As a mom of four children which includes a set of twin boys, it's my pleasure to assist you with this question! I have stayed at Disney's Art of Animation Resort during two previous trips and loved the theming of each area of the resort and the attention to detail at every turn. There are three areas at this popular Disney Resort hotel which feature Family Suites, which can accommodate up to 6 Adults. Guests can choose between Cars Family Suites, Finding Nemo Family Suites and The Lion King Family Suites, depending on availability. The Family Suites are spacious and great for families so that they can spread out a little more.

The Little Mermaid Standard Rooms are situated in a different area of the resort so you will not find Family Suites and "single" rooms that connect. Unfortunately, there are no connecting Family Suites at this resort. However, there are adjoining Family Suites, which are located beside each other, but they will not provide an interior door to access the adjoining Family Suite. You would need to access the adjoining room by going into the hallway. Guests can request adjoining rooms by calling (407) W-DISNEY to speak to a friendly Cast Member. Although room requests are not guaranteed, I have found they try their best to honor requests especially when it involves being close to other family members.

I hope this information has been helpful to you, Jordan. Let us know if you have any new questions. We would love to assist you further in planning a magical first trip for your twins!
