Hello Gina! Welcome to planDisney! It’s so lovely to meet you, and I have a feeling we’ll be best friends in no time since we both love to plan our trips and daydream about all the fun details. I’m super excited because I also have a Disney World trip lined up for March next year, and let me tell you, the planning is already in full swing over here! I can’t wait to help you create an unforgettable trip with your favorite people.
I’m a big fan of split stays! But in my case, I like to stay at two different Disney Resorts to enjoy the best of both worlds while still soaking in all the fantastic benefits of being on property. Now, let’s talk about those
new Lightning Lane pass rules. Here’s the scoop: if you’re staying at Disney Resort hotels or other select hotels, you can buy Lightning Lane passes and pick your experiences and arrival windows starting 7 days before your first day at the Resort, for up to 14 days of your stay. You can only make reservations that far in advance for the days you’ll be enjoying the magic at a
Disney Resort Hotel.
For you, this means you can make some reservations 7 days ahead of time for your Disney stay and then 3 days in advance for any days you’ll be visiting while staying elsewhere. And here’s a little insider tip: mark your calendar! You can start purchasing those Lightning Lane passes at 7:00 AM Eastern Time on your eligibility day, so set that alarm to snag the best experiences right when the window opens.
I hope this helps you with your planning, Gina! If you have any other questions or just want to chat about your trip, please
reach out anytime and let us know. We’re always here, happy and ready, to help our amazing friends like you!
Cheers,
Nilson
