I plan on purchasing Military Salute tickets for a trip in March 2024. Will the park reservation system still apply to this ticket type?

Welcome to planDisney, Glenn, and a huge Mickey-sized salute to you for your service. I'm excited to hear you're planning a Walt Disney World Resort visit next year, so let's gather around the flag pole and see how the process will work.

I spoke to a patriotic Cast Member in the ticketing office at Shades of Green, the resort exclusive to eligible US military members. She said that the Military Salute Theme Park Tickets are currently available for use through December 15 of this year, so you won't be able to purchase those quite yet for your March trip. She said in the past, new military offers for Disney products were announced sometime in the fall, so I'd suggest checking the Special Offers page often for news.

Until the details of the 2024 military tickets are released, we can't be sure if guests will need Theme Park Reservations. But any tickets that are not date-based will probably need park reservations, and the current Military Salute tickets are not date-based.

You can currently purchase Magic Your Way theme park tickets through Shades of Green, which are good until the end of 2024. These tickets are not date-based, so they would need Theme Park Reservations unless that policy changes when the new reservation rules go into effect in January. I love that you're an early planner like me, but sometimes that means we have to wait for details!

Glenn, please stop by planDisney anytime because I love helping guests plan practically perfect Disney vacations. And thank you again for your service!

    Magic awaits,
    Elaine
