Hi Anne! I love the Signature restaurants at Walt Disney World -- definitely try to work a visit to
Artist Point into your dining schedule. It's my new favorite!
At buffets, dinner shows, and fixed-price meals (like Cinderella's Royal Table), guests may not share meals. Most other table-service restaurants generally don't have a problem with guests sharing meals, whether or not they're on the Disney Dining Plan. Just tell your server that you don't have the appetite for two meals and prefer to split one and they're usually happy to accommodate you. Since the policy on sharing meals can vary from restaurant to restaurant, it's always best to confirm with your server prior to ordering. (To my knowledge, the only restaurant that seems to consistently prohibit sharing on the Dining Plan is Via Napoli, which requires each guest to use one table-service credit.)
On the
Deluxe Disney Dining Plan, you and your husband will each receive three meal credits and two snacks per night of your vacation. You could easily use your snack credits for a light breakfast, have a sit-down lunch at a table-service restaurant or buffet, and then use your remaining two meal credits to each order your own meals at a Signature restaurant each evening. The portions at the Signature restaurants are not overly large and the food is so delicious that you may not want to share!
