Plan to purchase Canadian discount tickets for next August, dates are still up in the air. Is it possible to book now and modify dates later? How will we be charged for making that change?

Hello Rochelle, it's great to welcome you back to planDisney!

It's a great breath of fresh, friendly northern air to see so many fellow folks coming down from Canada for their sunny vacations, and all of the Special Offers aimed directly at Canadian residents that have been recently released have been very much appreciated by families looking for deals and discounts to help offset the exchange rate!

The current offer that allows Canada Residents to Save 25% or More on a 4-Day or Longer Walt Disney World Theme Park Ticket is one of the best values that I've seen in years; since this is currently available to book until November 6, 2024 it would be a good idea to take advantage of it while you can! This is not only due to the savings, but the wide range of dates that this covers from November 10 - December 14, 2024 and January 5 - September 27, 2025 that even includes March Break.

Since these are date-based tickets that require you to set a start date, it is very important to be aware of the ticket use period and how long they'll be valid for - especially since you indicated that your dates are still up in the air and yet to be determined. When I reached out to the Cast Members about the possibility of changing or modifying your unused tickets to another date, they let me know that you may be required to pay the difference if it is priced higher depending on the day(s) you select, though in my personal experience there aren't any modification fees in order to do so and no refund nor reimbursement offered when selecting dates with a lower price.

With this in mind, I'd personally select a start date at the lowest price point - on the Walt Disney World Resort website there's even an option to see which months offer the lowest price which currently looks like dates in mid-August 2025. If you're having any difficulty or need additional help with the process, you can reach the Cast Members through the Existing Tickets line. International guests and Canadians alike might find it challenging to do so if they're paying for long-distance calling, so here's hoping you don't encounter too much difficulty in changing your dates if it comes down to it! (I hope this helps, Rochelle; offerings and policies are of course always subject to change without prior notice, so ideally I hope you can take advantage of this potential 25% - 33% in savings while you can and hopefully avoid having to shift your dates too much.)

Here's to some great savings as you make your way to the magic next summer!
