Ahoy, Robin!
Thank you for sailing by planDisney! I am excited to hear you will be joining Captain Mickey as he cruises through the
Panama Canal next year. This itinerary has been on my bucket list since our first high seas adventure years ago.
One of the things that make this sailing so appealing to me is the chance to spend two weeks onboard the
Disney Wonder. The unmatched,
first-class service truly makes you feel like royalty from the moment you step onboard! Captain Mickey's pals, the fabulous Cast Members, make the magic come alive. For that, they deserve our gratitude!
Tips and gratuities are a very personal decision. If you would like, you may recognize those who pixie-dusted your vacation at your discretion.
Disney Cruise Line does offer suggested gratuities for your rotational dining service team and Stateroom Host or Hostess. You can double the suggested gratuities for the seven-night sailings to get a good guideline to budget for your itinerary. Typically, I like to
contact Disney Cruise Line to prepay my gratuities before we sail. If you feel like you want to adjust any prepaid gratuities during your cruise to recognize exceptional service, you can visit Guest Services to do so.
If you plan to take advantage of the complimentary room service (like I do for breakfast), be sure to bring some cash to tip these Cast Members, as the room service team is not recognized with prepaid gratuities. It is also important to note that gratuities are automatically included in charges for drinks ordered at the onboard bars and lounges, as well as for any treatments at Senses Spa and Salon. You will see these added directly to your stateroom account.
I hope I have steered you in the right direction, Robin. Set your sails back toward planDisney if you have any additional questions before your epic adventure next year!
"Sea" ya real soon! Angie
