Hiya Alana,
Welcome to planDisney! As soon as I land at Orlando International Airport, I try to maximize every magical second of my vacation. That means heading straight for the theme parks (I’ve been known to schedule the earliest flight to take advantage of
Early Theme Park entry) or Disney Springs for brunch and not waiting to receive the text that my room is ready.
As you mentioned, Cast Members at
Bell Services are happy to hold your luggage for you when you arrive so you can head to the theme parks while waiting for your room. Unfortunately, they cannot deliver your luggage to your room unless at least one member of your travel group is present to receive it. You will need to give them a call when you are in your room, request delivery, and wait until they bring your luggage to you. But don’t let this disrupt your itinerary, Alana. Bell Services is available 24 hours a day, so you can feel free to stay in the theme parks until they close (or catch a late-night snack at a dining location) before heading back to your room.
I hope this was helpful, Alana. Before I let you go, did you know that you can
check in to your room online? You can indicate whether you plan to arrive earlier than 4 pm, submit room requests, and provide a card for incidentals. I like to do this if I’m planning to arrive early so that I can be notified via text if my room is ready earlier. It is definitely not guaranteed, but there have been times when I’ve received the magical “Your room is ready” text when I’ve gotten off the plane, and I’ve been able to drop my bags off in my room rather than having to use Bell Services.
Happy Planning,
Ashley F.
