Welcome BACK to planDisney, Tam! It is wonderful to see you here asking another Disney vacation question. This time about a sweet anniversary birthday combo celebration! What a wonderful, magic-filled way to celebrate. I will do my best to offer suggestions so that you can find a single theme park day that is practically perfect in every way. Finding the perfect theme park for a birthday and anniversary celebration will depend on the things you like most about
Walt Disney World. Let me offer you a few ideas and highlights for each of the four theme parks so you can choose the park that best suits you and your husband.
If you are an adventurous, outdoorsy couple who loves animals and nature, perhaps Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park will be the best way to spend your theme park day. You can enjoy the Kilimanjaro Safari, stroll through the Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail, and the Maharajah Jungle Trek, admiring the captivating animals. The
Nomad Lounge is the perfect midday spot to stop in for a few drinks and some light bites. You can end the day with a lovely dinner at
Tiffins Restaurant, a fine dining restaurant that features international cuisine and gorgeous menu items like Andean Beef Short Rib. For an extra special experience, check out the
Savor the Savanna Tour, with private viewing areas of the savanna and premium eats and drinks.
For a more classic Disney experience, Magic Kingdom Park is always a good option, with Cinderella’s Castle making the perfect backdrop to your birthday and anniversary photos. You can book a lovely celebratory dinner at Cinderella’s Royal Table or Be Our Guest Restaurant. Both restaurants offer a fine dining experience with delicious options on the menu. For an extra sprinkle of pixie dust, you can check out a Magic Kingdom Fireworks Desserts Party, with my favorite option being the
Seats and Sweets option.
EPCOT is where I would choose to spend my birthday and anniversary, but that’s because it’s my favorite of all four theme parks. It is the perfect park to stroll and explore, grabbing snacks and drinks from the different countries along the World Showcase. There are some fabulous fine dining restaurants for a celebratory dinner: Le Cellier Steakhouse, Monsieur Paul, and Takumi-Tei. The newest lounge will be open when you visit, making
GEO-82 a great place to enjoy a few cocktails and small plates.
And last, but not least, Disney’s Hollywood Studios. This is perfect if you and your husband are Star Wars fans. You can spend the day exploring
Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, build your very own droid or lightsaber, and grab drinks and snacks at Oga's Cantina. You can catch the new stage show,
Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After, and then end the day with Fantasmic!, the fun-filled nighttime show. I recommend dining at The Hollywood Brown Derby, where you can enjoy your dinner like a couple of Hollywood stars.
Wherever you choose to spend the day, I hope you have a magical, love-filled celebration, Tam! If you have more questions, please bring them here to planDisney. We are here for you and happy to help!
See Ya Real Soon!
