Welcome to planDisney, John! Your
Walt Disney World Resort vacation is coming up soon, and it sounds like you're a romantic at heart. After years of Disney with kiddos, my husband and I are empty-nesters. Can I tell you a secret? It's supercalifragilistic! But I miss those days of seeing Cinderella Castle through my toddler's eyes, so I envy the magical memories your family is making. I also know Mom and Dad need some grown-up time occasionally, so let's look at making that happen.
While it's true that Walt Disney World Resort doesn't have official childcare options, there are still plenty of alternatives. If you stay at the Walt Disney World Swan or Dolphin Hotels, you can book
Camp Dolphin for your little ones aged 5-12. This service offers a range of packages to keep your children entertained while you and the Mrs. enjoy adult time at
EPCOT or
Disney's BoardWalk.
I also searched for Walt Disney World childcare online and found several options to explore. I recommend finding a reputable, bonded, and insured company with outstanding reviews. Many services will send sitters to your Disney Resort hotel room and even bring Mary Poppins-worthy bags of tricks to entertain your wee ones.
Before I let you go, I wanted to make sure you know about the
Baby Care Centers at all four theme parks. If your children are still young, these centers are refreshing oases where you can feed, change, and rock them. The parks can be over-stimulating to many children, so I've used the centers to regroup and take a time-out. After everyone takes a break, your family will be ready to finish a magical day!
John, I'm sending a spoonful of sugar to help your Disney holiday go smoothly. Please stop by

Magic awaits,
Elaine
