We plan on going to Magic Kingdom and Epcot the weekend of January 13, 2024. We are not annual pass holders but were thinking of upgrading to the Pirate passes on the last day. If that weekend is blocked off for pass holders, can we still upgrade?

Welcome to planDisney, Katherine! Your visit to the Walt Disney World Resort is right around the corner! Thanks so much for stopping by with your question.

Yes, you can absolutely upgrade to a Walt Disney World Annual Pass. I would wait until you're just about ready to leave the theme park for the day, then go to a ticket or will call window to speak to a Cast Member and they will be happy to upgrade you!

When it comes to your expiration date for your annual pass, it’s important to remember that your pass will expire on the first day you used your tickets and not on the day you switched over to the annual pass.

Being Mickey’s neighbor definitely has its benefits. After you’ve chosen a Florida Resident annual pass that works best for you, don’t forget to check out the Special Offers available to you as a new passholder throughout the year.

Katherine, remember that you can always come back to see us if you have any more planning questions before your visit later this month. It's always our pleasure to help you with all the details of your next vacation!
