hi, I plan on having my gender reveal on the cruise, and I was wondering do I have any options? Since outside cake is prohibited is it any way I can make accommodations beforehand and get one made?

    Hi Tiny,

Congratulations on your bundle of joy! We are so excited that you brought your question to us here at planDisney! I have many magical memories of celebrating life’s best occasions aboard Disney Cruise Line.

You will be happy to know that there are some options to help you reveal the gender of your little sailor. My first suggestion is to order a cake from Disney Cruise Line Onboard Gifts that corresponds with your baby’s gender and select a Mickey or Minnie 10-inch cake (each serves 12 people). Cakes are available in chocolate or yellow cake.  These special cakes can be delivered to your stateroom or delivered to your dining room table on the day you choose. Please note that delivery is not available to Remy or Palo.

Captain Minnie and Captain Mickey individual cupcakes are also available and are super cute and festive. You could order one of each and then have a fun moment of suspense as you “decide” which one you will eat! The cupcakes are also available in chocolate or yellow cake. Cupcakes will be delivered to your stateroom on embarkation day.

Tiny, I suggest you complete the Special Request form under My Reservations. The dining team will make every effort to recognize your special occasion and make you feel special. I’ve always found the dining team to be gracious in helping us celebrate our milestones. Be sure to mention your special occasion to your Rotational Dining servers in the main dining rooms and let them know if you plan to celebrate on a specific evening.

Please keep in mind that Guests who have entered their 24th week of pregnancy as of their embarkation date or who will enter their 24th week of pregnancy during the cruise are not permitted to sail due to safety concerns. Otherwise, I can think of no better way to spend a few days during pregnancy than aboard a Disney Cruise! I imagine Mickey Premium Ice Cream Bars being delivered directly to your stateroom.

I hope this helps you plan your special moment and that you have smooth sailing with your little Captain Mickey or Minnie! Please let us know if you have other questions.

    Wishing you many magical memories,
    Shannon
