We plan to go to Florida January 2 and want to know if in January 6 have Christmas decoration in Magic Kindom?

    Hi Enilda,

Welcome to planDisney, and Happy New Year! There's something truly magical about the way Disney World transforms with each passing season, and I completely understand your desire to savor every moment of the enchantment. It’s hard to believe that the holidays are already winding down and soon the festive decorations will make way for the next chapter of the year. I wish we could hold onto the twinkling lights and holiday cheer just a little longer!

As the seasons shift, Disney’s holiday décor across the theme parks and Resort hotels will gradually come down, starting in the first week of January. The process takes time due to the sheer number of elaborate displays, but by the second week of January, most of the holiday magic will have quietly transitioned away. During this time, you may still spot a few twinkling garlands or festive touches lingering, though holiday-specific activities will largely wrap up by the start of the year. There is no specific date that each theme park or Resort hotel takes down its decorations, so I don't have any more specific information for you than a general week it will all come down.

If you are looking for something extra special to usher in the New Year at Disney World, I recommend checking out the Enchanting Extras Collection. My family loves adding one of these extra special experiences to our vacation to make it unique each time we visit. One of our favorite experiences has been the Wild Africa Trek. If you love animals and want to experience a behind-the-scenes version of Disney's Animal Kingdom, this is the ultimate tour!

    Happy Planning,
    Jenna
